His Eye is on the Sparrow

by Ronnie on September 1, 2010

Mom shared this with me and I thought I would share it with all of you…

HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW

A female mate was hit by a car as she swooped low across the road, and the condition was soon fatal.

Her male mate brought her food and attended her with love and compassion.

He brought her food again, but was shocked to find her dead.

He tried to move her – a rarely seen effort.

Aware that his mate was dead and would never come back to him again, he cried with adoring love…

…and stood beside her with sadness and sorrow.

Millions of people were touched after seeing these photos in America , Europe, Australia , and even India .  The photographer sold these pictures for a nominal fee to the most famous newspaper in France .  All copies of that edition were sold out on the day these pictures were published.

And many people think animals and birds don’t have brains or feelings.  You have just witnessed love and sorrow felt by God’s creatures.  The Bible says that God knows when a sparrow falls.  Imagine how much He cares for us!

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, and speak kindly.

How true, I had to get up for a tissue to wipe my tears away.

How true,we seldom have time in our busy lives,to even ask the next person, how they are doing.Take the time, and let the people that you care for(and even the ones you don’t know that well) know that you DO care!!!Don’t be afraid to say I LOVE YOU every now and then!!!!

I need to spend less time angry, and upset. And, a lot more time simply loving!

My confirmation of this love was seen while at a friend’s wife’s funeral
gathering at their home. While everyone was on the patio, a dozen or so hummingbirds flew in to the patio and remained there with the friends that had gathered for several minutes while they paid their respects. I would never underestimate these experiences.

This is heart wrenching, but oh so true. I am an animal person and do rescue. I have 8 dogs, 1 cat and three birds. I know each and everyone of them has a soul, feelings and smarts to know what is going on. They feel like us, hurt like us and they love more than us. What more could I say. When my one dogs soul mate was dying, he went over to her and laid next to her with his paw on her side. He put his head on her and actually had tears coming out of his eyes. My husband and I cried with him. He would not leave her side till we had to bury her. He mourned for her for a long while. Learn from the animals my friends, what peace and harmony there would be.

One hot summer day we saw buzzards hovering around a cow in the field. We went closer and found that her calf had been born and had died. She was standing in the middle of the hot field keeping the buzzards from her calf. As soon as we removed the calf she went back to the heard and began eating. What a miracle.

Our Creator God told us in the Book of Job to ask the animals and the birds and the earth and even the fish Who the Creator is and in Whose hand is the soul and breath of all mankind. (Job 12:7-10)
Those wonderfully created creatures know a lot more than most of us!
